Summer Sports Camp Instructors required for the months of July and August for the instruction of traditional and non-traditional sports activities to children aged 5 - 11. (More than one position is available.)

Job Summary:
A TRU Platinum Realty Sports Camp Instructor will successfully implement the TRU Platinum Realty Sports Camp Philosophy through the delivery of daily (Monday to Friday) instruction of traditional and non-traditional sports activities to children aged 7 - 11.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assists in specific program development in sport and activity based skills.
• Implements those programs throughout the camp.
• Ensures the health and safety of all children and staff during camp.
• Reports to the Sports Camp Coordinator.
• Ensures accurate records are kept of all camp programming, all incidents and injuries, and all facilities and equipment.
• Presents new/innovative ideas that will improve the quality of the camp.
• Completes ongoing evaluations of and adjustments to the program to improve the quality of the program.
• Professionally represents TRU and Platinum Realty in all camp related activities.
Scope:
TRU Platinum Realty Sports Camps require instructors who have experience coaching and working with children in traditional and non-traditional sports activities including:
• Basketball
• Volleyball
• Soccer
• Aquatics
• Baseball
Qualifications:
• Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
• Applicants must complete a criminal record check and have suitable first aid certification prior to start date.
• Preference given to individuals with sport specific certification. NCCP Coaching certification may be made available for successful applicants prior to start dates.
• Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to perform under pressure.
Dates and Compensation:
TRU offers programming during the months of July through to and including August.
Compensation for the positions will vary based on qualifications, experience, and responsibilities.
Room and board is available for instructors applying from outside the Kamloops region.
