For a lot of college students, having a regular part time job isn’t all that great of an option.  There is studying to be done and essays that need to be written.  Luckily for those people, there are a number of seasonal work opportunities (other than the summer) where you can make some money without hurting your study time.

Temp work can be a mixed bag.  On the one hand, there are stories of those who got placed in a temp position who went on to work full time and made all sorts of advancements and contacts.  On the other, there are those who got placed in a temp job and didn’t make it through the first two hours.  Check out this article from an individual who has experienced the pros and cons of temp work.

Well, this is that time of year school is done for four months or so and your probably in the need of some cash. Whether your saving for next years studies or simply looking to keeping your head above water until your next wave of student loans is set to come in. Either way we all have our reasons for getting that summer job after exams are done.

Here are some ideas of places to look for your summer job . I  admit that some of these spots are probably not the most appealing places to seek out your summer job but in the end it is all about the money. Right?

For many students, getting a job while at college or university is a necessity.

If you try to make the most of your working experience, you will soon realize that having a job while studying has great benefits, besides the financial compensation of course.

When you’re in high school or college, you probably have a regular summer job.  For one of my friends, it was loading trucks at a local dairy.  He knew the owner and he got the job when he was in high school, and every summer he went back.

I know what you’re thinking, “Work for free, are you crazy?” Okay, let’s rephrase:  It’s the summer, why not work for no monetary wages, but make contacts that can help you get a great job in the future.

Sounds a lot better, right?  Summers are the perfect time for internships and other similar types of programs.  Why?  Because a lot of people take vacations in the summer, and when a lot of people take vacations, that means that the employer needs somebody to pick up the slack left by that person leaving for a week or two.  See where this is going?
