The regular trend for a student of the sciences is to toil through their undergrad and graduate studies before beginning doctoral work that will lead, hopefully, to a full time research or university position, but that trend has been shaken up a bit in the past few years. 

Science and its applications have always been an important part of the job market and the economy.  After all, where would the entire consumer electronics industry be without scientific advancements?  

Over the past few years, awareness about the state of the environment has been growing at a fever pitch.  While there have been periodic bursts of eco-friendliness in the past, the use of the internet has spread awareness to an unprecedented degree.

 

Science has given us a lot of incredible inventions, and for every great new invention that changes the way that people live their lives your government is responsible for making sure that it is used properly.
